Ok, so what happens when you have a chance to see a free concert but you only prefer to see the last two bands of the night? You go because when will you ever get to see so many different bands all on the same day for free? But as the phrase goes, "You are all free to wear sunscreen." I should have listened to that.

I don't know what I was expecting with this concert, but I have never been to a concert that was all day, let alone was at an outdoor venue. Everyone that I knew of was on the main stage, so that's where we spent most of the day. People had the crazy idea to line up to get seats in the shaded seated part of the venue. I understood lining up at the beginning of the day, but at the end of the afternoon after some big bands performed such as Taking Back Sunday, Jet, and The Bravery?? Who would give up their seats at that point to allow someone else inside?

Food was overpriced as usual, but it made up for the fact that the show was free. And the food was actually good, so thank gosh for that. My fiance said "As long as we are not spending as much on food as we are on a concert ticket, we are good" lol.

Probably the most amazing part of the day was seeing Richard Branson (owner of Virgin) on the ceiling of the stage waving everyone while 2 people sky dived from a helicopter down to the stage. That was pretty amazing to see.

By the time Weezer came on, I was pretty spent from the sun and the day. The crowd wasn't that enthusiastic, surprisingly so. The lead singer had to like use sarcasm with us because we hardly sang for him. They sang all their singles from old and new albums.

Gotta say, maybe it is because I am older or something, but I just dont laugh at Blink 182's immaturity anymore. Don't get me wrong, I was looking forward to them all night. I felt like falling over and sleeping on the ground, but I was all for them. They sang all their classic hits, plus some new stuff. Alot of people moved out by that point, which I found surprising because i mean its Blink 182! lol. No one was singing, but it did start to feel like a big frat party since people were becoming drunker by the minute on huge ass 24 ounce beers, lol.

All in all, it was a nice day in the summer heat. Got sunburned and was as tired as crap by the time I got home. I used to be a night person, but not anymore, lol.
