Simian Mobile Disco have previously collaborated with Muse, The Go! Team and Air, drenching their tracks in distinctive funk sounds for some truly unique remixes.
Now working with Nike+, the band was keen to take its heavily stylised sounds and retool them to give runners something that would motivate, entertain and invigorate them.
The workout begins by transforming a playful, heavy breathing sample into fizzing electronic beats and ratchets up the pace, whipping into a beat-heavy crescendo that drives you toward the finish line. And as your run eases to a close, the track is stripped back to basics.
