The rain is throwing itself against the windows of my workshop, but inside it is warm and cosy. I'm listening to This is the Thing and I'm supposed to be building a one string diddly-bow, but right now the smell of coffee and incense has chilled me right out, and I'm savouring the peace.

I've decided to teach myself how to build guitars. I come from a long line of designers and creatives and musicians and I want all of that to be part of my life now. So I have set up a workshop, got in a load of wood, tools and book and I'm starting down an interesting new path.

Occasionally I'll blog and occasionally I will write a journal, but only when the urge arises.
