Murs is whatever to me. makes either good songs or passovers. 50/50 when it comes to his tracks being good. his 3:16 with 9th wonder is good, but the main star on that is 9th via beats. he's one of those dudes who thinks he's better then he is. like wayne. i dont like that cocky attitude unless you can back it up like jay, or chinoxl dissing everyone under the burning sun. yeah i remember that LP diss track. Remember Big Sty? lol that shit was craZy! what he was saying. "yo 50 i heard your shit was bomb and gun proofbut fuck it Imma throw a grenade through the sun roof" "and the way i'm feeling, i feel like digging up big and pac and saying fuck them too!" damn dude was bitter lol.

zero and trae are some of the few actual good southern rappers. too many syrup drinkers down there slurring their speech and screaming and shit over beats, or they sound like their about fall in a coma dead drugged up. Del has one of the best styles i've ever heard. a west coast pioneer, cousin of Ice cube, made the whole Pfunk to Gfunk transition from Parliament funkadelic to HIp Hop with george clinton getting sampled crazily. that whole heiroglyphics camp in the west are serious spitters who make classic lp's like souls of mischief 93 til infinity. blueprint makes better beats then raps, an above average underground artist. Apathys nice as hell actually, bump this, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eZbDqy5GGyw . im not racist but he's one of the few white rappers i actually like lol. Celph Titled is regarded as the underground king of punchlines, he's cuban. Apathy says their the "Underground method and red" Brother alis another. albino weird as fuck looking but makes nice music.

Friday's the funniest movie I've ever seen, I can't even think of a movie close to it when it comes to humor, maybe Coming to america eddie murphy but nah nothing really. Yeah chapelle i had the XXL magazine where he had that roundtable with deadprez, talib, kanye, common, was a gr8 convo. sean price made some of the best independent LP's last decade, hit up his Master P mixtape though shits cool. yeah beanies nice, outspits jay like everytime almost on the same track. freeways debut was top 10 lp's in rap for me in 03. Wise Intelligent is one of the better rappers ever, being the lead member in Poor Righteous Teachers. That late 80's "Back to africa" mentality that carried on to what immortal tech and others do nowadays in a different style, Wise-I. was the better of that style in the day, with KRS and some others. chuck d. ew, Ill give the nod to everyone on that slept on list besides louis logic. that dude who made the list is just showing favoritism a bit, one of his fave artists.

cuz missy was top 5 selling music artists for awhile in 02/03ish.queen of rap basically for awhile. sean price hit it perfect "Missy elliot niggas lyrics wack but the hook tight"lol.and ppl dont realize she makes beats just as good as timbaland, but not in a quantity output. swerving things around a bit, Belly, thats my shit.Hype williams is hands down the best video director ever of any music genre, in fact thats going in the stats. the script just went awry somewhere, dude that shot stan spit at the table while dmx was laughing smoking in the restaurant said the original script was a classic but they changed it up in production. the images in that movie, the coloring, the shading, cinematographic shots in their are top notch oscar shit.and DMX i feel bad for, that dude can act, just got put in blase' action movies with jet li and shit. lol nas sounded like he was reading cue cards and shit acting, "Ah.. i got shot T-Boz. ow." *no emotion in face* thats basically how it felt to me lol.

nas didnt even want to beef with jay.jay just kept sending sublimes left and right to bait him. if jay never blew up in 98,nas would have just ignored him forever, but he had to respond with ether or else his career would have ended, a la ja rule. see, the streets truely DO make or break ones career if you fall off too much. sadly white people lol buy most of the music, but its the urban folk who make these guys/gals what they are and urban areas where they most of the time (not all) come from. lol @ royce, ice cube, eazy e all the hardest dudes of all time coming from soft suburbs, countless others. yeah femcees, shawnna IMO is the best overall, flow and probably lyrics when she goes off, her styles just different, mainstream compared to the other best female lyricist jean grae with her underground style. i miss Missy. shed get annoying sometimes, RARELY, and now that she's been away its like you truly miss good things when they're gone. She's battling Graves disease, hope she overcomes.

and yeah that new g rap was legit, riches royalty and respect, i give it a 4/5. half a klip sounded like a rushed EP, but if anything g raps good for his bars alone, i could listen to just acapellas of him. i give the aforementioned a 3.5/5 personal 4 but ill be impartial with the rating.

Black Thought was gonna drop in 2000 or so, but didnt happen, ive been unable to find an advance of that. Yeah, make whatever group you want, you feel you have to do something do it. Fugees made the best album in 1996. Yeah, im sorry but Im not all that into Jean Grae either, except for that 9th wonder project she did, even if Talib and Mos tout her as one of the best Mc's PERIOD, regardless of sex, eh, i dont like her voice and she has no flow, her bars look better written then spat. im not sexist but females suck at rapping, their might be 20 females in rap history who not alone could rap, but make good music. I dont know what it is, i think more females need to aspire to make music in general then just be eye candy you know. when they mix both, like nicki minaj, it comes out horrible. trinas horrible. only kim and foxy could pull that off. da brat looked like a lost bone thug in 94 so she worked, being the first female rapper to go platinum.

yeah, royce is the best rapper alive, better then em these days. bar exam 2 is like, hasnt been topped by anything mixtape OR album since release. but him, crooked i, joell, budden their never gonna sell. its just the truth. even this next slaughterhouse lp if it ever gets dropped on shady/aftermath. ppl just arent smart enough to cop good music it seems. music has its high points then its quick descents that seem to last 4-5 years to get out of the valley of death to see the light once again. damn, rap rebounded quicker from big and pacs deaths in 97 then this fucking whole were still in since about 2005/2006! when the Hip hop is dead convo started brewing and made concrete as it is today. but im not worried rap will never died. jazz isnt dead. rock former number 1 music isnt really dead either although its influence is paralytic, low. underground rap will always be the foundation. rap hasnt had a bad year independent LP wise. 07, 08, these years the best lp i heard in rap were indy

the whole drake issue, just like with wayne back in 06/07/early 08 when the carter 3 was buzzing as the best selling music album so far of that year when dropped, i just let it slide, and keep my ears away as much as possible, while seeking out the few gems they may make like their mixtapes. but yeah, if it werent for the women falling for that mush-sing song rap, they wouldnt be this big. Drakes not wack, but he's not nice. can't really hate on him he can spit if he has to but i dont care about his music. id rather listen to the wind, blank silence. i still havent heard his debut, ive heard scant tracks all over radio and my brother playing the crap disc in the crib. it will pass though dont fret. waynes already on his last rap legs when it comes to his stance in rap. raekwon called Drake the male lauryn hill. lol even thats too much of a compliment, lauryns a classic artist, maybe the best femcee ever, who made the best album in music in 98. drake=Nelly on lyrical steroids.

yea true that about striking gold first. like Big Daddy Kane was just as good as Rakim, but since Ra came in 87 and kane a year later ra becomes the "First God of Rap". and the holy trifecta of the 80's, the arguements heads on the corner and kids at lunch tables would argue to the death over who was the best, Ra, Kane or KRS....KOOL G RAP, got left out of the equation, and listening to dude, he was clearly the best MC of the 80's, one of the few EVER who could hang with literally any rapper who ever lived (Kool g rap has outspit/hung with Nas"Fast Life" Canibus "Allied Meta Forces", chino xl, ras kass, whoever, truely a timeless MC. g rap and Jigga should have done a song by now "lyrically im kool g rap in his prime". yeah i feel bad for AZ, but MC's know he's viper venom. Eminem, others acknowledge that dudes like top 10 ever with lyrics. and hey, if anything he'll wind up dying with the best verse spat in rap with lifes a bitch. Cormega as well i feel bad for.

yeah that 'man originated from apes but they lies tho' as a convo with his moms, speculating on the origin of man which none of us for sure 100 percent know the truths unless we had cameras to record the progress of man. But when i hear that line i think they meant like racists will compare apes to blacks and yada yada. yeah, the record industry, i can see the bitch in yoo, blackballing artists creative intentions and shit just to ship units. ha "Do me a favor put two in my waves you can be paid the label puts you in my place", execs dont give a fuck about the art, as long as they can maintain their basic quota of sales. yeah, you like that wayne ded. 2? best tape of 06 easily, and i dont like wayne too hot. C-murders slept on. that geto boys lp the foundation might be my fave of 05, over kanye and jeezy maybe even. "G code" in chrysler ads. ha your avatar, whats your favorite album out of all those? I gotta say Cuban Linx wins for me. my 2nd fave lp ever in rap.

so yeah, 95 had better QUANTITY albums, (The infamous my fave lp ever comes from this year) but 94 was the launch pad for the stratosphere soaring rocket that hip hop was to go into outerspace with sales and notoriety in later years. man, 1997 was depressing. Two legends died, rappers were clad in glittery suits with 80's hits being jacked to death. and their weren't too many good albums for some reason. 98 would re-up Hip Hop and drop ALOT of gr8 shit in that year. switching gears, yeah, I think Nas is on that knowledge tip a bit too much (whatchu tryna kick knowledge? cantchall see that he's fake, the rap version of TD Jakes?). But I think he almost HAS to do it, to counterbalance the shiny ghetto fabulous money money money style of jay-z so people know that mainstream rap isnt just glitz and glam, because the guys who do knowledge/politics best Dead Prez/Immortal Tech don't sell sadly. KRS probably did it the best, a balance of knowledge with hip hop hit making capability.

YEah, 95 might be the best year of rap albums that or 88. [96 is my favorite, street dreams/iron man/reasonable doubt/all eyez on me/makaveli/hardcore lil kim/mop firing squad/xzibits debut/Hell On Earth mobb/heltah skeltah nocturnal/Muddy waters (Sean price said this is the best album in rap since it came out, props to redman)/ATLiens/Soul On Ice/Here To Save You All/busta The Coming/sadat x wild cowboys/Stakes Is High/beats rhymes and life/Illadelph Halflife/The New World Order (Poor Righteous Teachers come back!)/OGC Da storm/geto boys the resurrection and ETC.] But yeah, that was the last great era mid-90's. oh man i wish i was forty or 35 or something now and could live back then as a teen/twentysomething dude. Go to the "Tunnel" and other places and shit. see rappers at their primes, big and pac alive, damn. 94 stands high tho because that was the year two of the four best MC's ever dropped debuts with nas and big, scarface dropped a 5 mic, outkast debuted, 2pac was in jail.

Nice plethora of Nas remixes on youtube. You should try to be like the premier Nas historian when it comes to his tracks, have like, more then Nas his damn self, online and whutnot. Yeah this one mixtape "Stillprint" that mixed stillmatic verses with blueprint beats was horrid. sounds like nas is stuttering or something tracks are so off beat to the provided vocals. Well yeah, the MF and 9th remixes aren't perfect, but I mean, we can't be too picky, they get a pass cuz their beats are creme de la creme top notch. But yeah, it gets annoying when any person with fruity loops or something think they're a DJ and dont know about BPM's and all that. But it'd be pretty hard to craft a perfect on-beat remix unless the original producer had all the vocal-tempo layouts in the engineer room or unless nas himself re-spat his verses on a new beat, kinda like he did on that Dirty harry legends vol. 1 tape. but yeah its no excuse people should have a good ear and hear for the measures in vocals/beats

yea that david lanz was the shit. Yeah nas on piano beats are nice. like "U Wanna be Me" on that 8mile soundtrack. "I can" obviously, "Doo Rags", "Purple", "Small World" and that oh so classic original Kool G Rap original On the road to the riches piano riff nas's take "Street's Disciple". Off topic, what do you think are the best Nas remixes ever? official or unofficial amateurs blending acapellas. "The World Is Yours" Rmx by Q-Tip is just amazing. ranks along wih the original, and thats not too easy to do with one of the top 3 or so songs on illmatic. and i been bumpin street dreams remix with R. Kelly alot lately. and not that the original was bad but I prefer the green lantern nigger tape version of Surviving the times (Chris Webber can make beats! ala Blunt Ashes). of course 9th wonder murdered god's stepson. yea, since pac aint alive, Nas is the best ever so i could basically talk about dude all day.

yeah, peeps werent net bootlegging in 99, but thats when people were still buying TAPES lol, and getting their bootleg cd's/tapes from the corner. nowadays anyone can be a "Professional" bootlegger if they have the internet. yeah, back then, people were bootlegging, but still paying for the shit, now its just free. cd sales were still good, highest ever even back then, and rap would see its highest sales from 99 to about 2003/2004, as the worlds highest selling music.

<---------And songs like "New World" and "Life we choose" are 4.5 mic or higher songs for me. but yea at the end of the day an acapella disc for this lp would probably be better then the real LP. because i bump that MF Doom Nastradoomus and it sounds waaaaaaay better then the real nas album forreal. but i used to give the lp a 3/5, i changed it to a 3.5/5 for lyrics alone. other then this blemish on a nice discography, nas hasn't made an album lower then 3.5 mics, something I cant really say for his highest former adversary jigga wha? jigga who?. YEAH. Untitled/Nigger, good album, 4 mics, 4.5 if he took off that chris brown joint and made some beats not boring as hell, but yeah, that Nigger Tape is the shit! he should have just put that out as an album. i dont get why he left off classic 5 mic songs from that album like be a nigger too and ghetto with joell ortiz. I wish i was nas's executive producer on his albums. still a good album though.

yea, nas has never dropped a horrible album. I think people were just seriously let down when Nastradamus dropped, cuz yeah it should have been better. I even hated on it, with a few prime choice cuts that were nice like Project windows with ron isley and some others. ha a song that I LIKE! but even nas is reluctant to perform on there is You Owe Me. timbaland killed that beat, but yeah, nas cant really pull off that "Flashy, icy, bling bling" style that jay does, it comes off corny, like that Hate me now video was just over the top corny lol. "Is it oochie wally or is it one mic/is it black girl lost or shorty owe you for ice". Nastradamus suffered from some songs that were better suited for a mobb deep album, cuts dark as hell in beat and topic like quiet niggas and shoot em up. But some beats just sounded generic, like they were meant for a nature, or millennium thug nashawn album. But this being Nas's worst album to date, it still has class A lyrics even Big Girl was tight lol.

yeah, nas woulda dropped in 010, a solo LP if he didnt do that Damian Marley project. one time he (Well now two) didnt drop in 3 years 96-99 and that was cuz he had a double LP in mind but got bootlegged. that scant tracks from those 98/99 sessions were all pretty much classic cuts, and that wouldve been a classic double LP if he made it like that. Damn new york arabs/jamaicans bootlegging the fuck out of people. If i was nas id go all onyx on bootleggers and beat the shit out of their kiosk and crash their bodegas, taking money out of my pockets. 99 was a bad year for raps top artists, Sean carter vol. 3 got bootlegged to where Jay stabbed Un Rivera for suspicions of the leak, and Wow, murda muzik mobb deep advance version i hear was better then the eventual album, and the eventual became a 4.5 mic album in my books. well yea nas, drop somethin. Nigger/untitled was alot of peoples fave album of 08, the best lyrically hands down of any rap album hell music lp that year lyric wise.

For K.R.I.T. all he has is K.R.I.T. Wuz Here and Return of 4eva, but both are crazy dope, Return of 4eva is one of my favorite albums of 2011.
