What was the first song you ever heard by 22?
John K. Samson. actually solo, Airport Lounge, but the first song i heard by him in a band was Showdown (G.E./ P.) by Propagandhi.
How many albums by 17 do you own?
Franz Ferdinand, just the one. i'm shocked they're up so high, since i actively disliked them until about a week ago!

oh, The Weakerthans…Plea From A Cat Named Virtute. this is one of my very favorite songs of all time!!
What is your favourite song by 5?
Julian Casablancas <3 <3 Tourist. I LOVE THIS SONG MORE THAN EVERYTHING but seriously though, his whole album is great. actually, i think he should be higher than #5, but last.fm wasn't scrobbling from my ipod for a while :(
Is there a song by 6 that makes you happy?
Dirty Pretty Things, Truth Begins. it's pretty depressing actually, but it makes me SO happy. i don't know…this song is just wonderful. it's so melancholy and then triumphant. i love it!

Kings of Leon. i think it's called Manhattan? i really liked them for a bit, but i haven't listened to them in a while.
What is a good memory you have involving 30?
Dusty Springfield <3 playing her on the jukebox at a bowling party. classic times, crazy days :)

Jolie Holland, The Littlest Birds, but i like the Be Good Tanyas version better. that still counts though, since she was in the band.
How many times have you seen 24 live?
Lightspeed Champion. not yet i'd love to, though. i'd also love to buy him a drink afterward. he seems like a pretty stand-up guy.

Ghost Mice!! The Devil and My Family. i probably loved it but thought "eh, they'll never be as good as the devil is electric". but i really, really love ghost mice now!

The Strokes. probably Is This It. i like First Impressions of Earth a lot too, though. i think fioe is technically a better album, but iti is really such a great first album it's hard to top. but i can't wait for the new one, whenever that happens.

What is a good memory involving 27?
Three Finger Cowboy. going to the christkindlmarkt in eleventh grade and skipping out early to go to the record store and finding their cd. i was so excited! i think i also got Life Without Television on the same trip, and i listened to those two over the entire winter break.
What is your favorite song by 16?
Tom Waits. oh…i don't know. i love pretty much anything he does. Shiver Me Timbers is always pretty near the top, Blind Love, Two Sisters, Hang Down Your Head, Hoist That Rag…all winners!

The Ditty Bops. probably their self-titled one, but they're all wonderful.

The Libertines!!!!! oh, i do love every single song they've ever written…but Up the Bracket is probably it since it makes me all goopy and nostalgic about hearing them the first time. well, the second, really, since i hated them the first time. i am still really sad about this!

awww, Roses Kings Castles, AAAAWWWWWW!!!!! <3 i cannot say enough nice things about adam, but here goes: have you heard roses kings castles? it's adam ficek from Babyshambles, only not drumming, and his music makes me think of the sky. mostly the sun, but sometimes clouds and sometimes (other) stars. (i really like him). and the song i love best by him is Brass Winter :)
