I have a love for double bass, so jazz normally feeds that whenever i take a listen. "You have a disturbing lack of plays of Tortoise on your last.fm"<---- Why yes, I am the loser that jams out to them in my car with the windows down, but that's just me lol. I'll check out your tumblr when my mind moves me :]

i can't even explain it. i managed to get on the barrier during the show, and i had my icelandic flag with me, and it's HUGE. three of us were holding it up, and all the guys saw it. after the show, i grabbed some merch and went to where the buses were, and i was like... i will stay here for a damn hour, i don't care. then all of them but ulfur started to walk out, and we started cheering. i had my flag draped over the barrier, and he saw it and came straight towards me. first. then some guy behind me shoved past me and started to babble to him and all i could do was mumble and nod and be like yeah you're amazing and dsklfj. finally he turns back to me and i just very shyly go, "can you please sign this for me?" which was my booklet from the go deluxe edition. he signed that, got a pic with me, stole my blue sharpie. alex signed that and my setlist i got. doddi signed my booklet. i cried for 2 hours, i swear.

seeing jonsi and meeting him seriously really was one of the best nights of my life, if not the best. up there with being on the barrier for radiohead.

Yeah, the crowd was bad in some places, although Leslie Anne Levine was a great opener in my opinion. It also seemed like there were a fair amount of people more excited by the fact they were playing Mumford & Sons before the Decemberists, at least around me up in that front standing area. I saw that setlist from Chicago and I was salivating at it, especially Crane Wife 1, 2, & 3 together. Bagman's Gambit had me in awe, they did it perfectly. I also loved that they played Grace Cathedral Hill, even though a fair chunk of the crowd was pretty unreceptive to that one.

I was impressed, as I always am, with them. I'd say they were better than the last time I saw them, but maybe that's just because they played Mariners Revenge. I could've done without the 16 year old hipster slamming his hands into me air drumming and hand-hearting. What'd you think of it?

Well thank you. The absolute same goes to you. Hope you enjoyed your holiday and that you have a lovely start to the 2011.

Pretty fucking excellent. Kinda miss their more literal lyrics, but the songwriting is as tight as it's ever been and there's a huge Tarkio vibe that I can totally get behind, so no complaints really.

Haha, I totally understand you. Have you watched Moya and Storm? I think there are live versions on youtube ... Yeah, really looking forward to some shows next year (especially Iron & Wine), but looking back 2010 was an even better concert year. (Saw the National and Wilco and many other cool stuff). I guess Vienna isn't too shabby, when it comes to good concerts. But neither is Chicago I bet?
