Sometimes its baffles me that people actually buy it, but then I remember that people also buy the Sun, the People, or Heat magazine (which the NME resembles more with every passing week) and instead I get terribly worried a race of creatures that stupid will not outlast the next century. Hmmm. Its like a twelve year old boy was responsibe for deciding all the subjects the magazine will cover each week. This boy hates the mainstream and loves the underground without even knowing what they are, and at his disposal are an infinite number of monkeys with an infinite number of typewriters (tripewriters?) and the internet for a pool of new underground INDIE *his favorite genre!!!!* bands to write about. One day the monkeys will fuck up an accidentally deliver the script for Hamlet, and the boy, thinking it was a cool name for a band, will put it to press. Thus the towering spire of rag journalism will fall, defecating itself as it does, into a heap of its own unsold back issues. The end.
