Yeah, I find it a bit plain and samey. I don't think any of her stuff really goes anywere, the stories just lack any real substance. In saying this, I really do enjoy New Romantic, I think it sounds nice, is well written overall and has some gems of lines, but one song doesn't make a good album. I think she might have the right idea though, a few years down the line and she might produce something lovely.

I don't know if I could handle listening to that song 45 times back to back, although I have been listening to some songs on repeat alot lately. I've had the same two track cd in my stereo all week. Laura Marling, aye? I don't like her bar the cover of The Wrote And The Writ and New Romantic, both of which I'm very fond of. I may give her another go at some stage though.
