Hi there Peter. Thanks for the visit, and the interest. I've always been interested in world folk music in general, and since the Hungarians have always had such a strong musical culture I suppose it was inevitable I would run across it eventually. I suppose had heard about Márta Sebestyén twice in rapid succession from her beautiful song in the English Patient, and then for a song she did with the celtic band Dónal Lunny (I remember one part of it was Hegyen-Völgyön... neat to hear with a celtic band!). I feel in love with her voice, so when I saw her album Kismet I snatched it up immediately. I then found The Prisoner's Song by Muzsikás, which very rapidly became my favourite album of all time (still is).
