Lately I've been listening to a lot of weird Mike Patton-ish type of music. If you're into Mr. Bungle, or any Patton project, and haven't heard these bands yet, check them out. Some of them are clearly influenced by Bungle, but they've all developed their own unique sound.

Tub Ring - Kick ass expirimental hard rock band. Similar to Dog Fashion disco. They really developed their own unique sound with their latest release. Definitely download: Bite The Wax Tadpole

Screaming Mechanical Brain - (formally Screaming Monkey Boner)I love this band. Electro Metal that is very, very catchy. I prefer their older stuff but the new album is good too. They kind of sound like a cross between Mindless Self Indulgence, System Of A Down, and American Head Charge. Definitely download: Welcome to the Kingdom of Fear

Foxy Shazam! - Fucking Amazing band. These guys need to get signed immediately. They really sound like nothing else. Their songs can be catchy and melodic, then seamlessly switch into badass mode. These guys are going to be huge one day. Definitely download: No Don't Shoot

Duct Tape Mustache - Similar to Tub Ring. They broke up a year ago I think? If you're into Tub Ring, you'll probably like these guys. Definitely download: Intestinal Fluids

Daiquiri - They sound kind of like a much heavier MSI. Really good band. Their cover of Get Ur Freak On is hilarious. Definitely download: Get Yr Freak On

UneXpect - Fucking crazy avante garde metal band. It takes a few listens before you can absorb all of whats going on. The first time I heard them I thought it was just random nonsense. Because that's what it sounds like. But after a few listens you start to appreciate all that is going on, how how much musicianship went into making their songs. Definitely download: Chromatic Chimera

Bobaflex - They're a weird nu metal band. But I'm lazy and don't feel like writing about them, so just download: Bright Red Violent Sex
