Tom Waits is bloody amazing. I was skeptical at first when someone suggested I listen to him.. Being a classical singer myself, I didn't take to his grating voice right away, but it has REALLY REALLY grown on me. Downtown Train is a bloody amazing song (curse Rod Stewart for doing a crappy cover!!! the main guitar riff isn't even audible!). And Lonely is really really good. Even if you can't stand his voice, there is no denying Waits' incredible writing talents. <3333

OK, rant time. I hate when people on this site judge you by what you listen to. Like these people. Ummm.. Not that I want to join their snobby group, but I think it's really stupid that one of the requirements for getting in is that you must have a "musical diversity rating" (AEP) of greater than 4. well I thought I was doing pretty well myself, but apparently my 3.23 is just not good enough.
