Nicole Scherzinger - Right There

While her debut album "Killer Love" managed fairly oversees, the album still has yet to see release in North American markets. Nonetheless, Nicole has proved a successful 2011 with an a spot at the judged panel on the US version of the X-Factor and singles like "Don't Hold Your Breath" and one of my top 2011 picks, "Right There" featuring rapper 50 Cent.

Tinie Tempah - Pass Out

With a strong transition into the US market this year, Tinie Tempah lands a spot in the top tracks of 2011 this year with "Pass Out." The single was Tempah's debut single oversees, and saw a move to the US charts late in the year.

Jessica Sutta - Show Me

Formerly of the Pussycat Dolls, Jessica Sutta finally managed to break-out on her own making a huge dent in the dance-pop scene this year with "Show Me." The track debuted at number one Breakout Song on the Billboard Dance charts before hitting number one on the Dance chart in it's eleventh week. The song continued it's success with remixes by Ralph Rosario, Alex Guadino and Dave Aude.

Kelly Rowland - Motivation

"Here I Am," her first album since 2007, managed to sweep the R&B/dance scene this year. The album's lead single "Motivation" featuring Lil Wayne saw incredible success achieving platinum status. Kelly is already in the midst of working on her fourth-solo album scheduled for a summer-2012 release.

Korn - Get Up!

"Get Up!" saw moderate success on the charts this year, but chart success doesn't allows determine top year-end picks. The single continued to launch the career of Skrillex into the mainstream spotlight.

Ellie Goulding - Lights

Ellie Goulding has become one of the UK's great new successes and she finally managed to transition into the United States this year. Her single "Lights" peaked at number eighty-six.

Lady Gaga - Heavy Metal Lover

No one in the music scene quite compares to what Lady Gaga has managed to accomplish in your short 2.5 full-length album career. 2011 saw the return of Mother-Monster with an album packed-full of top-notch production. "Heavy Metal Lover" offers as a fantastic compliment to an album already five-singles deep into the charts.

LMFAO - Party Rock Anthem

"Party Rock Anthem" is undoubtedly the party-anthem of 2011. You can expect this song to ring-in 2012 all around the world!

Britney Spears - I Wanna Go

A pop singer who has managed to hit rock-bottom and climb back to the top in just a few short years, never fails to amaze the music industry. Britney Spears returned to the music scene this year with her number one album "Femme Fatale." "I Wanna Go" served as Britney's last promotion-driven single securing Britney another top-ten career hit.

will.i.am - T.H.E. (The Hardest Ever)

Some call it the worst track of the year… I call it one of the best. will.i.am managed to pull together a successful, radio-friendly single featuring not only Jennifer Lopez (who saw a great comeback) but rock-legend Mick Jagger.

Jennifer Lopez - On the Floor

A failed promotional single… and two years later Jennifer Lopez managed to successful comeback with "On the Floor" featuring rapper Pitbull. The single managed to top charts world-wide including: Australia, the United Kingdom, Canada and Sweden. The single peaked at a successful number three in the United States. Along with her successful Fiat campaign and her spot with the judges panel on American Idol, Lopez can rest easy knowing 2011 was a great success.

Chris Brown - Deuces

Many people credit Chris' track "Look At Me Now" as his comeback single, but "Deuces" was definitely the track that got the ball rolling.

Marsha Ambrosius - Far Away

Marsha's debut album proved a huge success for the now-defunct J Records, a staple label in the R&B music scene. The album peaked at number two, with over 300,000 copies sold. "Far Away" served as the album's second single peaking at number three on the Billboard R&B charts. Ambrosius won the Centric Award and was nominated for Best Female R&B Artists at this years BET Awards.

JoJo - The Other Chick

JoJo finally made her return to music in 2011 after years plagued by managerial issues and lawsuits with her label. JoJo release a promotional single entitled "The Other Chick" which is scheduled to appear on her third solo album, the 2012-release "Jumping Trains."

Mac Miller - On and On

Mac Miller broke new ground this year with his debut album "Blue Slide Park" which debuted on the Billboard 200 at number one. The album was the first independently-released album since The Dogg Pound's 1995 release "Dogg Food."

Florence + the Machine - Spectrum

Florence + the Machine continued to share their indie-pop music with the world releasing the follow-up to their multi-platinum "Lungs." "Ceremonials" debuted at number one in multiple countries and peaked at number six in the United States. "Spectrum" will leads the group into 2012 with a promotional single scheduled for release in the United States.

Freemasons - Believer

The Freemasons released "Believer" at the very-tail end of the 2010 in the United KIngdom. As soon as 2011 rolled out the single managed to seep it's way into the North American club-scene. The single features R&B singer Wynter Gordon.

Stacy Barthe - Drink My Pain Away

Stacy Barthe released her debut EP this year, entitled "Sincerely Yours, Stacy Barthe." The EP features tremendous vocal talent from Barthe (who most recently appeared on Brandy's new single "Silent Night."

T-Pain - Booty Wurk (One Cheek At a Time)

If you like club tracks, chances are you probably heard T-Pains "Booty Wurk" this year. The track was released via RCA Records and features Joey Galaxy.

Grouplove - Tounge Tied

Perhaps the track most famous for appearing in Apple's most-recent iPod iTouch commercial. The group scored it's first Billboard hit as a result of the commercial peaking at number sixty-nine.

Rihanna - We Found Love

There's one thing you can guarantee from year-to-year and that's new music from Rihanna. 2011 saw the release of her sixth-studio album "Talk That Talk." Leading the album into the races was single "We Found Love" produced by Calvin Harris. The track peaked at number two in the United States, and topped charts worldwide.

Adele - Set Fire to the Rain

You'd be hard-pressed to find anyone who would disagree when saying that 2011 was the year of Adele. The soulful singer-songwriter found great success with her 2008 debut "19" selling over three million albums worldwide, but completely broke the "sophomore slump" spell with her 2011 follow-up "21." The LP has gone on to sell over sixteen-million albums worldwide, including nearly six million in the United States. The album features an incredible array of tracks, but none quite hit me like "Set Fire to the Rain" did. The track was released as the album's third-single. Adele is currently nominated for six Grammy Awards for 2012.
