RED FANG has kicked-off their first-ever European tour this week in support of their brand new album Murder The Mountains. RED FANG are teamed up with THE OCEAN and INTRONAUT for this month-long tour that will include stops at the Wilwarin Festival, Hellfest, and more. Upon returning home, RED FANG will head to Calgary, Alberta for the 2011 Shed Island Festival the weekend of June 24 and 25. RED FANG will be performing both Friday and Saturday evening of the festival along with BUZZCOCKS, CURSIVE, THE SWORD, and more. Complete line-up and festival information can be found here. RED FANG will then spend July and August on tour in the U.S. as part of the traveling Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival. RED FANG has recently premiered their eagerly-awaited new video for Murder The Mountains track “Wires” online now at this location. The video, which features car crashes, house explosions, a cameo from heavy metal comedian Brian Posehn and milk, lots of milk, was directed by Whitey McConnaughy (THE GOSSIP, MUDHONEY, FLOGGING MOLLY) in Portland, OR. RED FANG has previously worked with McConnaughy on their much-talked-about “Prehistoric Dog” video that can be seen here.
RED FANG are streaming Murder The Mountains in its entirety at this location. The band recorded Murder The Mountains with THE DECEMBERISTS’ Chris Funk and the album was mixed by three-time Grammy Award winner Vance Powell (WHITE STRIPES, THE RACONTEURS). Murder The Mountains is now available on CD, 12” vinyl, and deluxe digital.
RED FANG has also partnered with Etnies Shoes who are giving away pairs of their Jameson 2 shoes, music, and more as part of their “Buy a shoe, Plant a tree” project. The contest is going on now at this location.
