Pesmu "Little Boxes" je napisala Malvina Reynolds (pevačica, kompozitorka i aktiviskinja) 1962. godine kao ciničnu kritiku razvoja i života predgrađa. Pesma govori o monotonsti predgrađa i ljudi koji žive u njima, o nedostatku invidualnosti, gde se svako od njih preslikava jedan u drugog. Težeči da postanu deo i pratne savremene pordoične vrednosti srednje klase, oni postaju svojevrsni klonovi.
Little Boxes je dobila nekoliko svojih obrada. Verzija grupe Womenfolk je najkraća pesma koja je ušla na top listu Billboard Hot 100 sa dužinom 1:03. Ostali izvođači koji su obradili pesmu su: Adolfo Celdrán, Víctor Jara, Regina Spektor, Rise Against, Devendra Banhart, Phosphorescent, Man Man, Death Cab For Cutie i The Decemberists.
Pesma je ponovo isplivala na pop scenu kad je korišćena kao tema u uvodnoj špici popularne serije "Weeds".
