Great taste btw, you should check out At the Drive-In and Deftones if you get the time to. Really good bands :)

Omg yes I love her new album! I decided to get it when it came out to try and get into her and now I'm obsessed! My fave has to be Y.A.L.A and Exodus is good too. I just love her style.

I kinda hate that they've abandoned their sound because that's what attracted so many of their fans.. On another note, have you heard M.I.A's new album? I've recently got obsessed with her and I think it's great! x

Hey, have you listened to the Daft Punk/Julian track yet? And am I the only one here or is te album too not Daft Punk and slow and normal... It's gonna take a lot of drugs to make it sound good... ;)

Wow, Absolution is my favorite too :) and The 2nd Law is pretty cool. It's very eclectic, but that's good, right? Animals is definitely my favorite track (it's the casual guitar line that does it ;) and Unsustainable and Survival and Supremacy and... I just don't really care about genres, you know. I can listen to RATM ànd Macklemore & Ryan Lewis :) [now we're talking a bit more dance: Daft Punk and Justice are brilliant!], and that's what is so great about them: not afraid to tackle anything, call themselves a rock band and create Madness :) +you drive?! But you're from the US, right? In Belgium, we can only take our theory exam when we are 17 and then actually start driving when we are 18. Incredible you can drive for 12 hours straight! My dad always nearly passes out after 6 hours [which is why we always go to France on holiday. Boring...], but that gig with the Silversun Pickups was in Canada or something, so yeah... :p

I just read you saw them live!! God, I would LOVE to see them live, but every single time they come to Belgium, I seem to be in the middle of my exams. And all of the major concert halls or sites in the country do take a bit of travelling to get there from where I live...

I hàve listened to them, check the library ;p but only the typical radio singles like Someday and Machu Picchu, and I want to go a bit deeper ;) And for me, MUSE is my all time favorite. I still remember the first time I heard them: my dad had this Formula1-game which always has this sort of 'anthem' to introduce the graphics and stuff before you see the menu. I think it was the '06 edition and I just loved the song so much, I watched all of the end credits to find out the title and it was Butterflies and Hurricanes :). But my obsession really took off when I heard The Resistance, I started to buy every studio album I could find!

Yeah, that's the lame part about literature, it's extremely subjective. In the end you just have to answer what the teacher expects, but there's so much stuff in literature that can mean different things to people depending on their personality or their mood... there are lots of books that can mean different things to a same person depending on their age, even :D I like reading, but I don't really have much time to actually read stuff that I like. And I always hated biology in school >< you're supposed to memorize so much stuff, and everything is so detailed D: probably that's why I liked history better, everything relates better, and all the important things have many consecuences and causes, so it's easy to connect them without memorizing each and every important date. I'm more of a "big picture" kind of guy, I guess xD I'm just glad I don't have to see any of that stuff anymore, just maths and physics and computers /o/ by the way, is there any game you're playing currently?

I did, but still, it would always be a cute little Mudkip for me :( xD I got a DSi! a couple years ago, just before the 3DS came out. so it was pretty cheap. The DS Lite is great! You can emulate Game Boy Advance with a flashcart, that's awesome :( Absolutely right, but they're probably sure that the ones that grew up with Pokemon will still play the newer games no matter what... which is true xD I like Vampire Weekend :D I used to work out to Cousins, it's great! A good way to breathe and not get pains is by breathing coordinately with your steps (ex: inhale with a step, exhale on your next step, inhale on the next, and so). It's kinda messy to explain, but I hope you get the idea. It's all about the pace! I'll make sure to take some next time I run! :D that's lame, it's really relaxing to exercise near streams or stuff, not sure why though xD Yeah, that's really lame :/ laws are verystupid sometimes. Woah, the red cups aren't just in movies either? all I thought true has changed xD

Thank you :) I will listen to it when I have the chance :) The problem is I that I still have so many artists and stuff I still have to explore a bit: Dr. John, Gary Clark Jr, Bob Dylan's new album, The Strokes,... and the list goes on ;) And now that I'm here, I can't help but noticing that our compatibility is super :O

I listen to mostly anything upbeat, usually it's poppier than what I usually listen to, but it gets me in the mood. But I do have lots of rocking songs to run, too. I've never known too much about electronic music, but they do play some great songs when I got to the gym. Any good songs you can recommend me? Oh, right, you have a long way to go till you can do that D: drinking age here is 18, just like smoking and driving and voting... and mostly everything xD I thought fake IDs only worked in movies :( well, at least partying at somebody's house is lots of fun too! haha, you're totally right about school xD it has it's moments. Meeting people is great, but studying stuff you don't like that much is a paaaaaain. Any particular subject you dislike?

Oh, it's ok :3 Great consoles, maybe you'll find them someday and they'll still work! I played Ruby, I'm more of a Groudon guy xD and Mudkip beat the crap out of Team Magma /o/ and no, I played it on an emulator :c my first handheld was my DS! Yeah, I've seen some of it... hell, Ash even looks younger xD yeah, you're right, but I bet ten year-olds wouldn't mind Ash being like, 15 or something. Or they could have changed protagonists... maybe they just did it to mess with our heads D: Maybe it has to do with the way you breathe when you run, probably some part of your chest is lacking blood circulation, and you can regularise that by breathing at a constant rate. If that's the case, it's completely normal, so your dad's right (: and if not... then it shall remain a mystery |: where I live it's pretty scenic, there's a river that crosses most of the city so I usually run by the riverside, or sometimes I run out of town, there are ponds and lots of trees :3 I could show you some pictures!

And of course, walking everywhere is fun too, specially with music! Yeah, I guess you're right, it's quite dangerous considering how disperse our generation is in terms of attention spans :/ hopefully wherever you end up, distances are short enough so you won't have to use the car so often :D Yeah, I guess that'd be pretty bad; as if it weren't annoying enough per se, waking up with that... do you party often? or you don't have that much time? I'm in the latter currently, I've got three exams this week, plus another one the week after so my friends and I haven't been able to find a good night to get together, have some drinks and play some games. I remember my first year in college when I'd be out at least once a week, going to clubs or friends houses, or sometimes to see bands... that was when my classes were still easy :(

Haha, the water one is actually kinda cute. Hopefully it's evolutions won't be so weird D: Wartortle is great! And it's so cool that you had a gameboy, I always wanted one :c but by then I found that I could play the games on my computer too, so that was more than enough for me xD do you still have it? 2nd gen was really fun! specially because you could travel back to Kanto, the game was really long, even longer than usual xD I guess my favorite is the 3rd generation because it was completely new when I played it, I didn't know any of the new Pokemon beforehand (unlike previous generations, where I had seen the anime, trading cards and whatnot), so every corner of the game was unexpected and fresh! I guess that's how kids these days feel about newer Pokemon too, we're too old to live that again :c Going to the gym is fairly fun when you don't get all cramped up! Do you like to run/jog? personally, I love it, it's pretty relaxing once you have enough endurance.

Being mostly self-taught via the internet, searching for tabs and studying stuff in my spare time, it's been a tough ride, but I always feel like I've improved a lot, so that's a great motivation. Even if you don't have that much time, as long as you practice constantly you'll get better really quick :D and starting with easy songs so you can coordinate better. (considering you like Weezer, I'd recommend Butterfly as a fun little song to practice playing and singing!) And my favorite pokemon is... Mudkip <3 or Jigglypuff, I love both. And yes, I'm into cute pokemon xD and considering something a bit more badass, I'd say Crobat or Espeon! What's your favorite generation?

Supposedly, the next one is Fire/Psychic, I hope it's true :c I always pick the water starter though, so I don't mind xD Charizard is great! And don't worry, it's not just you, those games are really f'in hard xD hey, sometimes partying in the AM is cool... as long as you don't have early classes. I wasn't much of a party guy before college, but I've grown to accept that part of me xD That's the problem about cars :/ here you can't legally drive until you're 18, and even by then, cars are really expensive (even used ones!), so most people my age don't own them. Walking to college is great, and it's good exercise when you're too busy to exercise on your free time xD Yup, I've managed to coordinate playing and singing for some songs I know well, and generally for anything that's just regular chords. It's been tough, I've had to practice a lot D: but it helps a lot to do so, even if you can't actually sing the song well enough while you play, you'll eventually get the hang of it.

Hopefully you'll meet the right people soon enough so you can form a band, even if you don't really get too far with it, it's great fun! for the moment being and since we haven't really got into trying to compose stuff, we're just playing covers, indeed mostly indie and grunge-y stuff. It's fun because we have some subtle differences in taste so we end up playing lots of different stuff, but it's cool because we've all been friends for years so we don't mind playing what the others like! what instrument do you play? O:

At least the next fire-type starter won't be fighting-type too, that got old quick xD I beat all classic Megaman games, I deserve a prize for that xD the X saga is great because it isn't that hard, but it's still great :D I want to get a WiiU, but not anytime soon... I guess I'll save up for that after I get the 3DS, and hope Smash Bros. doesn't come out before that :( dorming is fun, but it's really distracting when you have to study. I have classmates who dorm or rent places, and they are really unorganized xD some of them do fairly well though, and studying with other people always helps! Hope you get the chance to do that, there's always stuff to do in big cities... I'm personally not a fan because of the long distances inside the city itself, I like to walk everywhere and here, I can do that :3 Yup, I'm the singer, self taught and not really great, but it's the best we've got, and I practice as much as I can to get better!

I really do like performing, I've always loved to do plays and stuff, and most recently I've been getting used to performing in front of a couple people with my band (just rehearsing still, but we'll eventually get to play somewhere in town, there's a pretty good scene here); until recently, I had never sung and played guitar in front of people, so that was a big jump xD what about you?

Don't get me started on the Vanillish family xD and for some reason, I don't like the elemental monkeys (can't recall their names), they're too generic D: Yeah, like classic Sonic! and Castlevania, Metroid or Megaman, that kinda stuff 8) I used to love my Gamecube, awesome games. I've kept most of them since I can play them on Wii, too. Mostly anything that has to do with coding can be made in teams, and probably will end up be used by people other than the programmer who first made it (since employees get fired/promoted, but their programs remain). Design is actually very team-based, because there are many programmers that don't know the first thing about good design, so they need people that can actually do that well. I feel like that age is the best, it's kind of exciting (and scary), and independence is cool :D I still live with my dad, but I basically do whatever I want and stuff; I would have moved out, but the best university in the region is here in my town so there's no need!

Hey, I'm with you on that one, the main reason I'm even getting a 3DS is because of Pokemon X&Y! 5th gen wasn't that bad either, and there are some pretty cool pokemon to compensate for all the weird ones xD and you're right, there are way too many FPS' out there now that are waaay too similar. Do you like 2D action games? I love them to death. There are so many games I keep on playing time and time again, and never get bored :( Web design is a pretty important part of making websites, and they're usually made in teams so you could actually do that without knowing every last thing about programming, and let loose your artistic side! and I bet there has to be a lot of pressure for meteorologists to try and study so unpreditable as weather D: but it is kinda cool! I've always liked computers and have been pretty good at doing stuff with them, and I do also like games so I wanted something related to that. My only second options would have been acting or journalism... very different xD

Having a nerdy side is totally acceptable xD and yes, I love games :D I mostly like adventure games and rpgs, but I do have a soft side for multiplayer, with friends... can't stand MMOs with all the random people. I consider myself quite a Mario Kart pro, too 8) A fun part of studying this is that most, if not all, of my classmates love games too, so we have quite some fun when we're not studying xD and coding is really fun once you understand how everything works together, it's sort of like a game itself, quite challenging though xD who knows, maybe you end up doing something code-related in the future (?) Considering you can design websites, i'm sure you know quite a bit of programming by now :3 Employment here is average i'd say, the govt says it's constantly getting lower but you can see it's not quite so. Still, it's mostly a bright future for computer engineers, so that calms me down a bit... what about you? any considerable options besides making a career in the arts?

They did! and it was great, they sound amazing live! Eh, it's really complicated :/ and even when you don't care about what other people think, college doesn't (always) pay itself, so something's gotta give... I hope you can end up studying something you like :c the good part is that you can always keep your artistic side running by doing stuff in your spare time, even if it isn't your job, it's still pretty rewarding :D and I get the question about my career a lot, but it's even worse when people don't really consider that, and just assume that you can fix their computers for free without any information on what's wrong with them in the first place xD but yeah, it's about programming (: for me at least, it's a lot more fun to make stuff that work inside a computer and that can help people do lots of useful stuff... and hey, I'll probably learn enough stuff so I can program games, that's even better xD

(walltext incoming) eh, it's sort of the same over here :/ but I guess there isn't much to do other than to do something to earn some money... sad but true. anyways, it's a struggle to convince your family to let you study something that you actually like just because it doesn't pay much, but it's very rewarding if you actually end up doing something that you like, and getting paid for it (: at least that's how it's working for me, I love computer engineering and so far college has been good :D it gets reaaaally boring when you have lots of tests in the same week, but in the end it's worth it! I got to see a lot of stuff, but my faves wereTwo Door Cinema Club, Franz Ferdinand, Kaiser Chiefs, Pearl Jam, and The Hives! it's a shame I can't divide myself so I could see more shows, but what I saw was great! what about you? any cool bands playing near you?
