2010 album from the American singer/songwriter, formerly the leader of rockers The Darling Cruel.
Rocker discovers soul and a piano. Not really my cup of tea. Middle of the road.

The only Manics album I like. Was never a fan of their previous, overblown sound and swagger. Here, we have a very decent album indeed. Their 10th studio album it features guest vocals from Ian McCulloch on Some Kind of Nothingness, John Cale on piano on Auto-Intoxication and Duff McKagen playing bass on A Billion Balconies Facing The Sun. Manics bassist Nicky Wire sings lead vocals on The Future Has Been Here 4 Ever alongside drummer Sean Moore on the trumpet.
