Моя июльская журнальная запись неожиданно прервалась обстоятельствами, несущими большие перемены в жизни. К счастью, на этот раз все перемены, похоже, оказались к лучшему, и это, вкупе с заслуженным отпуском, придает сил и энергии на будущее. Несмотря на куцое июльское наполнение, формат журнала обязывает выбрать лучший релиз. Откровенно говоря, выбирать особо не из чего, потому можно сделать своеобразный реверанс гуру дарк-эмбиента Массимо Магрини. Его новый альбом не будоражит воображение, не вызывает мурашек по коже, но определенно достоин внимания.

Blood is BACK! Huge week of new vis-kei at HearJapan

Yokohama, Japan — June 14th, 2011 — This is looking to be one of the biggest weeks for visual kei releases. As always, HearJapan has you covered!
First off, BLOOD is BACK! After breaking up in 2009, the band has reformed. Their new release “Bathory” features the same signature dark, pulsing electro rock and is accompanied by a host of great guests, including Ravishan (SUICIDE ALI), MaSa (Dunkelheit), SEN (marlee), and GPK (GPKISM). As if it wasn’t great enough to have the band back in fighting shape, they’ve also included a new video along with the single, all for one alarmingly low price!

Also, rumor has it that BLOOD will be going on an international tour…sometime soon! Get ready and grab the new single now!

Kalm has worked with such as such as Kaya, Seileen (DJ Sisen and ~selia~'s project), and recently composed a song for the new Velvet Eden.

This is me once again trying to define musical genres, especially the ones that are in some way called dark.

My interest in melancholic, somber, and even tragic tunes has grown since childhood. On Last.fm I look for music that fits this taste of mine, but I noticed I do not perform an specific search for one simple reason: I can't easily label music. This difficulty may be explained by the fact that many bands mix different kinds of music together, being it hard to define what is purely post-punk, gothic rock, new wave, darkwave, ethereal, cold wave (coldwave)...

I wish I could understand this better.
