Zespół The Verve Pipe został założony w 1991 roku, jako amerykańska post-grungowa kapela. W 1992 roku w wyniku współpracy z producentem- Jonem Frazerem powstaje pierwszy album (EP), zatytułowany I’ve Suffered a Head Injury. Zespół wydał cztery LP:

Haha, not a grunge band, but they do have an unfortunate 2nd album name (Pop Smear) like a grunge band would have. Freshman has some powerful moments that still feel good today.

the verve pipe is great, of course, but brian vander ark's newer solo stuff is incredible! if you get a chance to see him perform solo you really should. it's beautiful, well written, and honest.

This band was amazing in the 90's and being that they are from my home state, well...I just have to love them. "Never Let You Down" and "Colorful" are by far their best songs. Well...and of course how could forget about "Photograph". I miss this band.
