The Pogues - angielsko - irlandzki zespół grający mieszankę muzyki celtyckiej oraz punk rocka. Zespół założony został w 1982 roku w Londynie w dzielnicy Kings Cross. Pierwotnie zespół nazywał się z irlandzkiego Pogue Mahone (Póg mo Thóin) co znaczyło „Pocałujcie mnie w dupę”. W 1984 roku nazwa ta została skrócona do The Pogues. Zespół zawiesił swoją działalność w 1996 roku. Od 2001 znowu są razem.

v I was just about to come on here and say something similar. This band must receive the majority of their yearly plays around this time of year. Which is really a shame as the band has many other great songs.
