The band Norman Bailer also included Conor Oberst, of Bright Eyes, with whom The Faint toured in 2005. He left shortly after joining and wasn’t let back into the band when he attempted to come back. wtf?

yea agreed. The similar bands are nothing like the faint and have no electronic aspect... similar bands for me would be something like [artist]the anix[/artist] or maybe [artist]shiny toy guns[/artist]. [artist]crystal castles[/artist] too or maybe [artist]the knife[/artist]. lol idk faint are awesome :)

I was feeling like i had to defend them with so many ppl knocking fasciinatiion, but looking at the track list and comparing it to their other albums - it is the "worst". I mean, I don't really care for tracks 6-9, which there is no stretch of music on any of their other albums i don't listen to. I will say I love the direction the synth took in the newest album. Plus i like the clever ironic witty sometimes biting sometimes funny lyrics. I mean, who else could go from fulcrum and lever to a battle hymn for children?

The geeks were right is totally cool, though. Always liked it coming up on my favourite radio station driving through the city, that's growing ever so fast out of its every hole. Whatever I mean by saying that... http://www.lastfm.de/music/vinzent

Actually if I recall, the faint and ladytron were switching up time slots on that tour. sometimes ladytron had the last set, sometimes the faint did.

"they played 3 songs when they opened for ladytron" uh yeah last year's tour ladytron was the opener (and they're a perfect opener for the faint imo) someone must have been sick that night or something. their live show is the best i've seen by far. "live show" meaning the whole experience.

@AlternateRaiL, It's been the opposite for me. I've enjoyed The Faint for years now.. I can listen to Wet From Birth and Danse Macabre for hours.

This is such a HUGE show, and I'm going to miss it (my parents live on the East Coast). If anyone goes to the Waiting Room, please leave a comment at http://omaha.net/articles/my-omaha-alternative-holiday-experience That article has some local publicity/info about The Faint (local to Omaha that is), and has a great calendar of other upcoming shows in the city. I'd love to see what people are saying about Omaha music and The Faint!
