All you "Dudes", let's not be wankers! Mick Ralphs was the guitarist on this track/album, not Mick Ronson, although Ronson provided strings and brass arrangements for another track, "Sea Diver", on the album. Mick Ralphs was an original member of Mott The Hoople. He left Mott in '73 to form Bad Company (with Paul Rodgers of Free) and was replaced in Mott by Ariel Bender (real name Luther Grosvenor of Spooky Tooth). After Ariel Bender left Mott in '74, Mick Ronson filled in for a very short stint, then he and Ian Hunter left to work as a "duo" on Hunter's solo albums. Tryin' to keep it real...

I'm Bowie to the back bone but at least give this to the Mott. Next thing you'll be saying China Girl isn't Iggy's

ddluvsruski-no,it isn't a Paul McCartney song,it was written by David Bowie, and he gave it to Mott The Hoople. They also had a major hit with Roll Away The Stone. They also had other top 20 singles, they were anything but one hit wonders.Their line-up also contained at various times Mick Ronson,Bowies guitarist from The Spiders From Mars.

one hit wonders. Sounds like something Paul McCartney would do. did he ever do it?

Brilliant brilliant tune, but for me this was the beginning of the end, I always preferred Mott in their pre-glam days. One of the great live bands
