Hmm, I can't say Sabbath influenced bands from all genres..but definitely metal and doom metal.. zeppelin had a huge influence on the more poppy side of hard rock..nwobhm, and a little of progressive rock... Deep purple was a huge influence on the " guitar gods" in the 80s ..that neo classical phase of Bach inspired rock. Wich is still popular in Europe.

Yes like i said Zeppelin were not straight up hard rock,they obiously had the sound but for example Zeppelin III is half acoustic and folk,and they have songs like Dyer maker wich is reggae,and many other styles.Yes i also agree that Black Sabbath were mostlt infuential in metal,Zeppelin was influential too for early metal,nwobhm,melodic metal,progressive,etc but not as much as Sabbath,they influenced more in rock.Deep Purple another obvious influence in metal,specially in Blackmore guitar playing,but i think,then other bands like Uriah Heep,Thin Lizzy,etc that Black Sabbath influence in metal is easily stronger since they influenced bands from all genres.Also grunge,like Soundgarden (you can hear both Sabbath and Zeppelin influences in Badmotorfinger and Superunknown) or Nirvana.

Right, both black Sabbath and zeppelin along with deep purple influenced many bands inside of the rock circle and a lot of bands that don't play rock... But zeppelin was a little more varied then Sabbath.. wich leaves me to say Sabbath influenced metal and grunge with their monster riffs.

Actually now i remember i saw Scorpions on the farewell tour they did in 2010,and they played some Zeppelin jams with Michael Schenker.I don´t know why is so hard for you to accept the fact that they influenced most rock,specially hard rock that came after,you know,is like Judas Priest or Iron Maiden for metal.Zeppelin paved they way for hard rock,to me,they are the real pioneers.Before them,there was mostly prototype hard rock but they redefined they way it should be played,you know,the riff based,the solos,etc.You know,just picture yourself as a young rocker back in the 70´s,and Led Zeppelin was probably the bigest rock band,probably you would listen to them .Is not that musicians were elitist those times.

Come on man,Scorpions is obvious,and well,i have heard Klaus in an interview that Zeppelin was a big influence for him not only because they had the hard rock songs,but because they also writed beautifu lballads,or something like that.And Deep Purple too,Ritchie Blackmore said that before recording In Rock,he wasn´t sure what kind of music to do,until he listened to Zeppelin first,he knew that he wanted to play hard rock.Also in one live album,don´t remember if its Olympia,they play some small instrumental covers,like Fire by Jimi Hendrix,and among others,Wholle Lotta Love.
