Appleseed was formed in 2000 Poznan (Poland). From the very beginning their sounds were inspired by the greatest bands of 60’s and 70’s (Pink Floyd, Marillion, Yes, King Crimson, Led Zeppelin, Wishbone Ash, The Doors), and „nowadays lights” of music (Archive, Aphex Twin, Future Sound of London, Mars Volta).
Drawing from their roots, the musicians managed to create their own independent style, which goes beyond the concept of alternative and progressive rock.

The band started their story during winter 2000, in a real garage, where temperatures use to go under 0 degrees, and the air was too damp, sometimes causing shock (thunder strikes?) when they grabed their guitars.

Appleseed always belived in live creation of music, in the emotions and power of improvisation.
„We like to feel free in the music, to surf on the waves of sound, through the syncopated tides of unisons… …in the warm rays of our amplifyers …Improvistation is very important, its musicaly honest, shows what the band really is and what kind of emotions guide it.
Most of our numbers are based on improvised music sessions”
Appleseed’s honest emotions are shown in a wide spectrum of music styles:
[avant-garde/ trip/ trans/ rock/ psychedelic/ progressive]

In 2006 Appleseed recorded its first (Ep) „Broken Lifeforms”. This wouldn’t be possible without long-term members (Bartek Bak, Maciej Hoffman, Wojtek Deutschmann) and a new frontman (Radek Grobelny) who directed the band to the right path and created the uniqe atmosphere of Appleseed.
