If I may intervene, it's a rather simple explanation - someone really wants certain photos on top. If I had to guess, I'd say it's probably whoever uploaded the surging pics, just trying to get their own contributions on the top. You'd be surprised what little it takes to make some people feel special.

I could understand if it was one or 2 votes that could have done that, but both photos have been completely been targeted by all these 'down' votes and all these random photos are now the 'top photos'. I had a go at bringing back that lovely pink fur shrug pic back as a main with my 2 other voting accounts. Didn't work. It brought back the black and white 2004 pic, hope you don't mind this photo. I think this one is lovely too so I don't mind it. I don't like the other ones as main, I just don't think they are very nice as main photos.
