Think Martin's voice just wasn't the best... in some of there songs (even in studio albums) he has trouble reaching high notes. If you pay attention to the singing, you'll notice that most of their music is with backing vocals! And personally i think that's cause of their (his) average singing skills.

Although I know this band from my teenage parties I have only seen them alive recently. The gig was great, incredible guitars. But... Martin Turners voice... he obviously seemed to struggle singing high. As I never heard him live before, but know every single note from "Argus" I wonder, if Turner had a bad day, if this is a matter of age, or simply the difference between their live gigs and studio??? Anyone knows?
