Symphonic death metal is a term used to describe death metal music that has symphonic elements.

    Yeah, but Epica aren't really symphonic death metal either...it's such a trivial matter that it doesn't matter if Ex Deo say they are epic...they have high proportions of death metal elements whilst having huge symphonic elements...therefore Symphonic Death fits.
