  Wow, that's hard to believe.. I mean, I understand not being able to surf right where all the kiddies want to splash about and whatnot, but aren't there enough beaches to go around so everyone is happy? How about cordoning off one section for surfing and the other for swimming?

  tourism months (april-sep) surfing is out in some places on weekends, in others all the time (unless the red flags are up for a storm & no swimmer are allowed). They send boats out with megaphones and chase us onto shore and fine us 60 smackers. But beaters are the ugly stepchild of surfing because the 5-0 doesnt know if they're more surfboard or more body board. The detachable fin muddies it even more. For awhile they were letting stand up paddlers go about their silly arm work out, but now more and more are paddling into waves. Thinkin about standing up on a trash can lid out there and see if they come after me.
