A big "BOO HOO!" for all the chumps in

Cry more.

Here you can find an assortment of bittersweet tears from iPod owners who wasted their last money in overpriced Apple crap and upgraded their PCs to quadcore and 8Gb of RAM for the sole reason of being able to run the all-around horrible iTunes, thus rendering oneself unable to purchase CDs or even $0,99 single track downloads of their favourite artists.

Did I say that I want all the other to pay? I wish nobody should pay for it, cause that's what Last.fm was all about. For instance, take listeners from Iran, for example. In Iran it's forbidden to buy/sell music CD's that come from the West. The only way they can hear some new music is to discover it on the web, and what better way is there than Last.fm? And I have to agree with Chiwu, it is we, the users, who made everything work. Can you imagine Last.fm with just a few thousand users and your favorite artist without biography, scrobbles, comments and so on. There would be no users at all if they had put a subscription requirement when the whole thing Last.fm thing started. Oh, and another point that Chiwu made right there: " we get a job, you get a brain. "; Except I would reform it in: " We already have a job, now it's time for you to get a new and shiny brain. "

There are only people who just want it free for themselves and people who want everyone else to pay as well just because they have to, it only comes down to whichever the person in question finds ethically less devious. Essentially you're all the same. Only those with similar exterior motifs will pretend to buy your bitter excuses.

Nazi group. It's not about paying, it's about why should someone pay and someone should not. I thought we were all the "same"? I guess not, eh? Stupid modern world, getting sick of it.

I dare you to find a person more tolerant than me. The only group whose existence I cannot accept are the stupid and it's subcategories. Granted, it appears that the stupid cover almost 98% of the world population, and in the "civilized" Western world the figure is nearing 100%.

What's really impressive is psychoalgie's inability to comprehend anything. If I want crap out of you, I'll squeeze your head - okay? Not surprised he loves 311. If you "listen to music without caring about quality", you're hearing background noise, not listening to music. I'm sure your mom will give you 3e/month if you take the garbage out every day, go ahead and ask her. The bottom line is that you haven't done shit for this service and definitely nothing that took a turn for the better.

Höhöhö, you can't be serious. You do realize that, as it is now, the Last.fm radio is more like a music store where you "buy" music for free, don't you? Funny you should mention not paying any more as one of your tools, because most people haven't paid a single penny so far. Furthermore, if I'm an artist and lose listeners because of THIS, I'm both a fucking idiot for having the Last.fm radio as my only way of distributing music but also a pathetic shit-rocker who just wants money and fame in order to get laid with stupid jailbaits (who ironically are the most active protesters) and really deserve all the shit coming my way. Well, fortunately I'm not, and fortunately the ultimate purpose of actually good artists isn't growing their audience as big as possible. Go figure. And for some reason I think The Beagles made it big without the Last.fm radio. "John" would be laughing at your face if he was half-clever, idealist or not. Idealists may be naive, but not all of them are dumb as fuck.

Like it's got anything to do with money for us. It's more to do with equality and rights. You can't put out an intelligent argument instead you are calling us communists, pirates, "idealist hobos" and whatnot. Free means freedom. You keep talking about money like our fight were just about money. Yeah, it's one of the tools we use, not paying any more. Yes that's how much it is really about money. See I'm a subscriber too, and would have been a lot longer than the remaining 251 days if Last.fm had done things right. That's what they get for being stupid. And if you are an artist yourself you can only blame yourself for trusting them if you lose listeners because of last.fm's business tactics. Tada. Beatles didn't need hi-tech studios. And John was an idealist too. So much it killed him. You can only dream of reaching his statute. John would probably approve and join us if he lived now. I can see him giving us thumbs up right now. You have no argument.

Why don't you rampaging idealist hobos go campaign against your favourite artists, I'm sure they'd be delighted to work that much harder to gather the money for extensive hi-tech studio sessions so that they could get as famous as Beatles by spreading the word on Myspace while distributing crap quality mp3s for free - you know, just for you, because you're worth it. I'm also sure that maintaining a truckload of servers streaming pissloads of radio stations is also completely free and your inhumane efforts of editing the info of an artist nobody else has ever heard of would have to be compensated in some way. I have about zero interest in replying to another one of you zero-year-old robinhoods, so I would appreciate if you buggered off to siphon someone else's lifeforce and just let me laugh at the multitude of your mental defects from aside.

That would make a really good argument if it made any sense at all. Please explain to me in detail where the hell did you drag elitism into this in the first place? Do you even know the definition of elitism, because it sure looks like you don't? I support freedom too; Free open source software - being a Linux user - and appreciate the efforts of those who design and code free software that's lightweight, more stable, more versatile and better in every way than the commercial crap, but this road leads to a certain point of inquiry: what is YOUR major malfunction, numbnuts? These people have actually created something for other people free of charge, but you're just one punk of the gazillion users on a free online community / service that still retains most of it's free features while you're demanding more privileges. Be grateful that Last.fm exists, for I'm somewhat certain that you, a 15-year-old chump, aren't a vital organ of Last.fm. By the way, the database grows scrobbling.

And you're a communist. The thing where you push buttons in order to hear exactly what you want is called a CD player, not radio. You're worse than pirates, at least they know what they are and don't whine.

    Marzec 2009
  • Limberneck

Yes, as we can already see from Wikipedia, user-managed databases are the salt of the Earth. Drooling mongoloids spreading false information with unintelligible gutterspeak. How could I ever survive without these wonderful online encyclopedias? I do not know. It seems like you have troubles understanding the concept of a radio station and are completely oblivious to the real world outside the little box marked "what I want". But most of all you're just a bunch of whiney bitches.

Who created lastfm? ok, some developers from UK who wanted to make a thingy out of music or as a hobby.and think, WE helped them by writing biographies and stuff for bands...etc...we get a job, you get a brain.
