  People should listen to In Fields of Pestilent Grief by Funeral. Heavy, melodic death/doom with a really talented female vocalist.

  I know the name of the group says "mostly clean"....but I realised later on the "mostly" part isnt important......I mean whether they have "mostly clean" or "mostly growled" vocals. Point of the group is to recognize the utility of clean vocals in these genres....in however much quantity they are used......and how they express contrasting emotions when combined with the death vocals. But hey thanks for the recommendation....I'll check that band out :) Welcome to the group :)

  Maybe I should explain one thing as well: another reason for me not sorting out the growl/scream bands is because you have Insomnium in there. And as far as I know, they don't have a single ounce of clean vocals. But maybe they have released something new since last I checked them out.

  Aborted, Akercocke, Amon Amarth, Arch Enemy, Beneath The Massacre, Bloodbath, Cannibal Corpse, Carcass, Carnal Forge, Children of Bodom, Chimaira, Debauchery, DevilDriver, Gorefest, Gorerotted, Hate Eternal, Hour of Penance, Hypocrisy, In Flames, Internal Suffering, Jungle Rot, Nile, Norther, Obituary, Paths of Possession, Six Feet Under, Soilwork and Witchery. Lots of these are rather brutal and don't have clean vocals. Sorry for maybe wasting your time, but I'm too tired to sort them out. Couldn't find the rest of my Death Metal collection. I'll keep looking.
