I don't think that bands like Forteresse, Brûme d'Automne and all others should be in this group ... These guys don't consider themselves Canadian and are Québécois nationalists ...Not trying to be disrespectful towards them, though! :-P Just my point of view...

@poison_ivy: I highly recommend Forteresse - Metal Noir Quebecois and Neige Et Noirceur - Philosophie Des Arts Occultes. Other good ones would be Carrion Wraith - Carrion Wraith and Esker - Le Domaine Des Ombres but the first 2 here and the ones you mentioned are my faves.

Got here because of bands like gris, sombres forets,(and so of course also miserere luminis) sui caedere and monarque... thought there might be some more bands in that direction. any suggestions?
