Great Lake Swimmers- pretty amazing. Also- They are from michigan - but another good band that fits around this musical niche is "Frontier Ruckus". damn good stuff.

Wow, thanks! However... ;-) I am just now noticing that there are two pages for the group. There is "Deep Dark Woods" as you've linked here and "THE Deep Dark Woods" The one with the "The" includes an artist description and events and so on... Would it be hard to change?

Great idea for a group! I might suggest by way of a recommendation/possible connection is Saskatoon's "The Deep Dark Woods." Their new album "Winter Hours" is quite fantastic (and very rootsy...)
