  LA goes up 2-0 in the Stanley Cup final. Ilya Kovalchuk? Zero points in those two games. Kovalchuk is supposed to be their best scorer, so where is he? That's Russian hockey players for you. Drew Doughty and Jeff Carter's goals were great. That's Canadian talent for you.

  Those factor in non best-on-best competitions. Whenever it's a best-on-best competition, Canada always wins. I consider Russia to be the 6th best hockey country in the world right now, with Canada being 1st.
