Wonderglue Bands or Artists that tend to be different than others, often having little in common with the ideology of Metal and it's subgenres. They mostly dislike it's culture, trying to form something new based on the original things Metal created. Those bands tend to be "Underground" but are widely known by most people. Unlike most bands that are trying to be commercial by making Music Videos and Softening their music, their popularity increases with little or no media help. They are also hated by the so called "kvlt" fans,but little do they know since that music is mostly always superior than the "Old-school" original bands. Take for example Wolves in the Throne Room or Blut aus Nord,they play a varied style of Black Metal,but are often better than bands like Gorgoroth or Marduk (Which btw are norsecore shit) except that Blut aus Nord ain't labeled "Hipster" unlike WitT. America has got some fine bands that are mostly better than European. The so called "Hipster" BM/Doom/Folk and a large sum of Death Metal. Wolves in the Throne Room,Agalloch,Nile. Those bands are superior to most European Metal nowadays.

Fnts For me American music are: Bay Area thrashers and Florida death metal scene (not sure if Nile also is a part of that) and I want to keep it this way. Being on the same continent - also some bands from Canada can be heard from my speakers, especially Cryptopsy's Once was Not is a masterpiece.

I'm glad you hear that. Answering your request @ShadesOfIce, unfortunately I don't remember the old manifesto and don't have idea what could I write now. I'm not up-to-date with all this pseudo metal and other crappy music. Unfortunately, I don't have time to run this group, because I work as a programmer, working 40h hours/week sitting in front of the computer, so I simply must seek the entertainment off the computer. I see that some people never grow up and keep wasting their time on internet fights (I mean the people, who took over temporarily this group). I'm just enjoying good, European metal, being heavily into folk metal, I like our roots (slavic mostly, but also listening to Viking music is quite close to my soul). It's sad that empty, crappy American music is also flooding the Europe and people here forget about their culture and legacy. Naturally not all US modern music is crappy, but to the young people mostly such appeal...

I believe platedheadpot is an old nemesis of mine/this group..he intensely loathes most metal and probably trolls heavy metal shoutboxes. Not to mention if it is him (which all old accounts had Israel as the country), he has been banned several times from last.fm from what I remember.
