Hello everyone and welcome to "Almodovar".
This is a group for all the appreciators of this very talanted Spanish director.

As I will have no more possibility to be often online here, I am leaving it open for anyone interested to become the new leader.

Just wanted to say that when I joined here the group had only 2 members. It had no leader and I took it because I didn't want it to die away. But the person who really gave life to the group wasn't me, but somebody else, sp0623, who, ever since joining, has been doing a lot for it and helped it grew bigger and get a going discussion.

His help and support were the reasons I didn't give up on it in the very beginning, and he much more than me deserves to be called a leader and I am very thankful to him for everything he's done.

Edit: Ok, aparantly I should abdicate to someone, so if anyone is interested in becoming the new leader, please let me know.

Oh yes, I've heard about this movie (as well as 'El Orfanato', mentioned by LolaHeart), although I haven't got the opportunity to see it yet. Will surely look out for it. Thanks for the reco!

Carne Tremula is amazing-I can say it about this film. Just every element here is in place. This film made a great impression on me. Screenplay was based on a novel. Yesterday I saw another Spanish movie "El Orfanato". This film was very dark and scary...

I saw "And your mother too"... very interesting movie. Other Spanish films that I saw and I can recommend it's "Dark Blue Almost Black" or "Open Your Eyes" (original "vanilla sky" a lot better because without Tom Cruise). Almodovar films with the most like: "Talk to Her", "All About My Mother" and "Live Flesh"...

Although I've seen only one of his movies (All About My Mother), I'm really glad to be part of this group, as I'm very interested in exploring the entire oeuvre of works of this very talented filmmaker. And in general, I like Spanish cinema and Spanish language films from other countries.
