  you're right mate, Tony's new orchestral work is fantastic, I wasn't expecting to be so moved by it! I didn't know Hackett and Squire were working on something, sweet :)

  An exciting couple of months coming up! New orchestral work from Tony Banks, new Ant Phillips orchestral collaboration, and Steve Hackett & Chris Squire's collaboration. Add to that the new Peter Gabriel "Live Blood" recording... a good time to be a Genesis fan!

  Most people bashing Genesis post-Gabriel era, but don't listen awesome albums like A Trick of The Tail, grandiloquent and bombastic solos of Steve Hackett yet, IMO, Genesis diminished their quality when Steve Hackett left, though I DO like Collinesis like a rock/pop band :P

  I love all of Genesis' work. I write this while listening to The Lamb which has definately grown on me. But later I'll probably be listening to Trick of the Tail and then all of a sudden I'll have the Mama album and Invisible Touch playing. I enjoy listening to all of them as they are fantastic albums! Yes they are certainly different but they quite simply evolved over time. I can't stand it when some fans quite simply disregard certain albums (Oh it's pop) or say things like they should have not called themselves Genesis after Peter left etc! I've enjoyed all the albums they have released, including Calling all Stations. I love the name and description of this group!

  glad to see an "all eras" group, because fans too often divide it into "good" and "bad" eras.. whether they like peter or phil better. the peter era only fans are the worst. it's ALL *AMAZING* folks!!! best best to ever grace the history of rock by far. the songwriting talent these guys had was truly something special, and it will never be topped imo. never. tony banks is my hero!

  3 years on and we have hit 90 members! heheh. I saw on the cover of Prog magazine yesterday (I didn't buy it, £8!!!) a quote from Peter Gabriel saying something like, if it's the right project, then yeah i'll do it. still holding on hope :)

  Well he certainly KILLED the drumming on the Archive box set... amazing. Don't think he's ever sung it though. You're right, he would sing it very well I think, a very soulful vocal suited to his voice.

  The Chamber Of 32 Doors is probably my favourite track from The Lamb, and whenever I listen to it I always imagine Phil would do it proud live. Does anyone know if Phil performed it live at any point?

  As I keep reading shouts on last.fm which either give backhanded compliments to or just plain ridicule post-Hackett Genesis songs, I remember this group of fans and it makes me happy. Long Live the Banks/Rutherford Era! :)
