Exaggerated Scrobbles with iPod Classic using dock?

I just scrobbled my ipod for the first time in a little while and it picked up a massive number of plays for a bunch of songs, most of them from at the same time.. so like I listened to a song once and it shows up 3-10 times in scrobbles. I tried to delete the extra ones, it looks like deleting one deletes all of them so I can't get things back to normal really (guessing they don't have distinct keys in the database or something?). I deleted them all, but then reconnected my Ipod and it wanted to rescrobble everything so I let it.

I'm using the regular ipod scrobbling app.
