  this festival was actually awesomeee ;D loved LPs/Metallica/BFMV/A7X and corey taylors sets ;D tho the police seemed to be following me and my friends quite a bit lool, and i think we were partly sober, just crusing the campsite in the dark and tripping over stuffs lol sucks that we didnt get to go in the kerrang signing tent thang does anyone know who did signings in there? ahh well cant wait for sonisphere 2010 tis gna be epic ;D

  yeah was very odd that Avenged Sevenfold were not on the show. they were even shown as being on it in the Sky summary. Will there ever be any way to get the official footage from the festival? Since it was all filmed in HD with multiple cameras they must be planning to do something with the footage (more than a one hour programme anyway). I can't believe they would just sit on it

  I watched it. I was disappointed too, where was Avenged Sevenfold? Everyone said they would be on it, as I understand something was wrong, and avenged sevenfold video would be posted online later :D

  sonisphere was amazing, I was there mostly for avenged sevenfold, and I had this birthday flag, and he talked to me, and commented my birthday flag, TWICE, after beast and the harlot and before afterlife. I'm looking for a video of him talking about thiss. Has everyone filmed this? I would do SO MUCH to see it again.

  I wasn't all put out by the security - nothing like as vicious and unpleasent as at Download. What's more, they were actually letting people go into the arena with bottles (small ones) regardless of what was in them. I don't think I've ever seen that at a festival.

  The police I saw in Blue 2 were amiable and very laid back... I got the impression the main thing they were there for was to stop drunken people setting fire to their tents.

  none of what that bloke said happened to me. i actually commented on how good the sound was, everywhere except later on the sunday on the second stage. and police presence = less thiefery and more safety. as for difficulty getting anywhere, THERE WAS ONE PATH FROM EVERYWHERE TO THE ARENA.

  acctully only band i didnt enjoy was airbourne. not becasue of the band, they played really well, even 30ft up on top of the speaker stack. casue of the amount of theiving bitches. ppl getting robbed left right and centre. i stood the whole way through with my hands in my pockets guarding my phone and wallet.

  JaeCollins - Metalcore never sounds good at festivals. It's too intricate and heavy for big open air stages so it just sounds a mess.

  i bloody enjoyed the limp bizkit moshpits. Fred durst is a twat, but god damn it was fun. It was a shame there was some issues with the sound on the second stage on sunday. listening to alice in chains and avenged, one side kept coming and going.... And linkin park were great too.

  i enjoyed all the bands i went to see, like even limp bizkit was just funny. thought linkin park were good sept the whole dead by sunrise shit was dire. never listened to NIN but thought they were pretty damn amazing. i got a saxon pick! and i fuckin loved all the bands that are near the top of my charts tht played. aha

  What An Amazing Weekend Tbh Saturday Started My Weekend Of With Me Listening To A Few Songs By Soil Then Listening To The Whole Of Alien Ant Farm And Skindred's Set, And Soon After That Haveing A Pit To Dancing Queen During Bjorn Again And Anthrax On The Main Stage. Followed By An Amazing Set From Airbourne, Heaven And Hell And BFMV Then Closeing The Night With An Epic Setlist From Linkin Park, Sunday What Can I Say The Best Day Of The Weekend With Awesome Sets From Bands Such As Metallica, Avenged Sevenfold, NIN, Alice In Chains, Limp Bizkit, Lamb Of God, Machine Fucking Head And Mastodon.

  C&C played much later than Fact as they were late C&C clashed with H&H, i knew i recognised that guitarist in Dead by Sunrise, was lame ass though, full disrespect to LP & Sonisphere for allowing that self promotion, & i also agree with people talking through the performances, i had a miserable full family next to me at the front for NIN who did nothing but complain, fuck off to the back then & don't subject your 6 year old to that volume & discomfort, its lucky for them NIN did the set they did

  Moving from the truly appalling Linkin Park to see Fucked Up tear the crap out of the Bohemia tent was the highlight of the festival. Pinkeyes once again demonstrates why they're the most exciting live band around at the moment. MH may have had 20 circle pits or whatever, but Pinkeyes hugged, high fived, had his head rubbed and moshed like a loon with the audience for the entire set. Legend.

  I personally thought Dyers Eve should have been more heavy live, with Lars atleast sitting at the drums the beggining felt like listening to a tape (which it literally was but still) and i thought Hetfield could havemade the vocals a little more agressive. there thats my bitch about Dyers Eve over...

  I have to submit doubt to the people saying NIN were boring. Im not a fan, and they sure didnt get the crowd going. But I think if you were bored or disapointed, then you didnt quite understand what they were doing. I was Fucking impressed. they some how sucked me in, and got me involved with what i was hearing musically. not what was making me jump up and down to my favorite song.

  gedmundo - it's the 4th time I've seen 'em and definitely the worst. They played some good tunes but they've got a hell of a lot of great material that they ditched to make way for Death Magnetic stuff. I was bored frankly - maybe I'm just getting bored with them generally.

  @wormvortex: I feel exactly the same about Anthrax - wtf...? Death Angel, now they should have been one of the big thrash four! Saw them live a few weeks ago and they blew the place apart with their energy. Powerful yet melodic. Fecking tent was too small, had no chance of seeing Corey Taylor :(
