Eats Tapes are the Tigerbeat 6 duo of Gregory Zifcak and Marijke Jorritsma, who build and modify their own synths, toys and drum machines. Known for insane and frequent appearances at Bay Area punk shows and block parties, they make off-the-hinges techno that is not for purists or the faint-hearted. High-octane analogue beats compete with plenty of feedback and, naturally, cassette tape manipulations, breathing life back into the acid-fuelled heart of dance music.
