The Hordes march again!
In spite of recent line-up changes, HOB 6 headliners, Reign of Fury, have been working to an incredibly demanding live schedule, appearing at dozens of shows, including double figures of festival such as Bloodstock Festival, and many more dates on their own Headbangers Balls tour. This drive has put them onstage alongside some of the UK’s most cherished thrash icons, such as Lawnmower Deth, Onslaught official, Xentrix, as well as US hardcore act Hatebreed.

London’s new emperors of sludge, Diesel King, will be breaking into Scotland for the first time to headline the second stage at Hordes Of Belial this September. A vicious and viscous cross-breed of Lousiana soul and UK grit, they are a strong contender for a rising name in down-tempo, meaty grooves for the British Isles.

Hailing from Edinburgh, Ramage Inc. take the soaring and emotional heaviness of late Strapping Young Lad and make it their own. This heavy yet harmonious outfit are living, breathing, sweating proof the extreme music can be beautiful as well as aggressive.

To make sure that raw animal music isn’t left out of the equation, fellow Edinburghians Scumpulse will be joining the assault on Dundee. Self-described as blackened crust, they bridge extreme metal and DIY punk, like a dirtier Carcass fit for any stage featuring the fast and loud.

Also joining the bill will be Preston’s All Consumed, with their hardcore-flecked blend of death and thrash, and a hint of Pissing Razors’ percussive assault. This breed of riff oriented extreme metal is far too rare!

Standing alongside them will be one of Scotland’s favoured metal sons Dog Tired riffing their way through their fourth appearance at Hordes Of Belial. Those who have seen their incendiary live shows will understand why they keep being asked back!

After a big line-up change, a new name, and a new sound to match, Glenrothes's industrial tinged hard-core thrashers, Bodach, are back at Hordes! Ten intangible HOB points if you work out their previous name!

The Starry Wisdom Cult, in case you hadn't guessed, are, despite being one of the less heavy bands on the bill, one of the all time favourites at Hordes Of Belial. If you don't know already, you should. That simple.

More capital city chaos comes from one of Scotland's youngest bands, and one of it's best thrash offerings to date, Disposable. Just don't shout 'Play some Slayer!'. You'll look silly when they do.
