Club Cubic Presents Booka Shade [Best Tech House Artist - The Beatport Music Awards]

Berlin-based producers and live act BOOKA SHADE leapt to the forefront of contemporary dance music in 2005 with their classic singles “Body Language” (with M.A.N.D.Y.) and “Mandarine Girl”. Three years later they show no signs of slowing down as 2008 is proving to be a huge year for Arno Kammermeier and Walter Merziger.

The highlight of the year has been the long awaited release of their third studio album in May, entitled The Sun & The Neon Light. The single "Charlotte" has proven to be another hit for the band and reached #2 on the Beatport Chart. They are currently delivering their music live and direct to fans on a new world tour, proving themselves to be one of the biggest and most exciting electronic live acts in the world. This summer they have played at many of the most renowned festivals; Glastonbury in the UK and Coachella and Lollapalooza in the US.

Last year, Booka Shade completed their mammoth Movements world tour, a staggering 150 shows over the course of 20 months. During the movements tour they released the 12”s Tickle / Karma Car and Numbers, both international radio and club hits, as well as a mix CD for the DJ Kicks series which was chosen as DJ Magazine’s #1 compilation of the year and Mixmag’s #2.
