Ceremony hail from Virginia, US and are the other half of a band that became A Place to Bury Strangers and yes, Ceremony of course.
That band was Skywave, they made one great album, split up and made two great bands out of it in a nutshell, with Ceremony now exploring the more melodic terrain hinted at in Skywave’s output and paying homage at the shoegazer-altar of greatness: MBV, Slowdive, Ride, and all the rest of your favourite shoegaze heroes.
Now Ceremony are back after playing to a packed out King Kong Club last summer and they’re bringing The Lost Rivers along for the ride and joining them tonight will be special guests, Berlin’s own shoegaze kings, The History Of Colour TV.
