YORK FIBBERS PRESENTS THE LOVELY EGGS

And we agree; their last show here was riotous, irreverent, raunchy, rockin’ and a right good laugh!!

The Lovely Eggs aka David Ross and Holly Blackwell (ex-Angelica – remember them?) can count Huw Stephens, Marc Riley, Rob Da Bank, Steve Lamacq, Tom Robinson and Jon Kennedy amongst the fans of their lo-fi, shouty, grungy pop referencing the brilliant simplicity of Jonathan Richman and the girly “**** YOU!” of Bikini Kill.

They’ve played their songs around the world from scrapyards in LA to beaches in Bournemouth; SXSW gigs to sessions on Radio 1 and 6Music; and toured with The Slits and Shonen Knife.

We can’t recommend this anarchic twosome enough!
