The show was astounding to me. I'm still gasping in happy surprise. This group is ALIVE. (pun intended)
What I really mean is this band is in the present and grounded, while giving up a serious rock freak out. If you need your ears cleaned out from trends, posturing, or hipster trash, take a dose of Akron/Family live whenever you can. I'm not saying anyone here has bad taste, I'm just saying that when you try to listen to a lot of new music all the time, you can get a little weary of bands that don't take chances or get crazy or love playing live for you.
