MUSICIAN AND PHILANTHROPIST PETER BUFFETT COMES TO ST. LOUIS TO PERFORM “LIFE IS WHAT YOU MAKE IT: A CONCERT & CONVERSATION” on July 13
Proceeds to benefit COCA (Center of Creative Arts)
Emmy Award-winning composer, musician, author and philanthropist Peter Buffett will host a “Concert & Conversation” event July 13, performing original compositions while candidly revealing insights into his work, philanthropic efforts and life as son of famed investor Warren Buffett. Proceeds will benefit COCA’s award-winning arts education programming.
The event, “Life Is What You Make It: A Concert & Conversation with Peter Buffett,” takes place at 7:00 p.m. July 13, 2010, at the Center of Creative Arts, 524 Trinity Ave., St. Louis. Buffett’s “Concert & Conversation” combines a cello-accompanied live piano/vocal performance with video clips of his film, TV and philanthropic work that trace his career’s journey. The event is tied to Buffett’s recently released book, Life Is What You Make It (Random House / Harmony Books), which will be available at the event for purchase and signing.
The doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the “Concert & Conversation” performance will follow from 7 - 8:30 p.m. A reception with Buffett starts at 8:30 p.m.
